The diversity course training was created for the Human resources Department to improve the University's' communication and leadership skills. The University was located in Chicago and was exposed to diverse students and workers. Though there has been no incident of discrimination in the University, it is essential to implement diversity training for awareness. Encouraging staff and faculty to develop a professional connection with people of different races can improve the way they communicate with everyone and effectively support the diverse student in the classroom. The Training Course Consists of Four Modules: Introduction - The introduction modules consist of two lessons. The diversity training objectives and the importance of Diversity in the workplace. This module will focus on the training objectives and the basic foundation of Diversity. Content Focus - This module consists of two lessons, the Diversity in the workplace and cultural differences, followed by knowledge checks. This module will allow the learners to understand different types of cultures and the benefits of cultural Diversity in the workplace. Managing and Strategies - This module consists of three lessons: Proper Communication, Ethical Behavior, and Building trust, followed by knowledge checks at the end of each lesson. The learners will learn about other cultures' communication styles and how to properly communicate using explicit and implicit communication. It will also provide scenario-type conversation to demonstrate the culture effectively. They will also learn about the common ethical problems in the workplace and identify the areas that need to improve in their personal and professional growth. Assessment – This module will showcase the Final exam quiz to test the learners' understanding of the overall knowledge they attain on taking the training course. This module will also include the end-of-course survey to understand the learning needs and generate quantitative and qualitative data reports to improve the future assessment and training criteria. Artifact I: Interactive & Emerging Learning Technology The diversity course was built in Articulate Rise to enhance interactive learning and engagement. In addition, it is created to overcome self-learning paced and motivate employees to participate in new technology learning trends to encourage them and benefit from the component that technology can teach them to enhance hands-on activities, engagement and empowerment. Artifact II: Measurable Evaluation Assessment Outcome The diversity course tested my skills in providing, finding, analyzing, and collecting evaluation evidence to demonstrate my skills and support the training course. It was a fun experience analyzing the entire evaluation process that generated a positive outcome for the instructional solution framework. Artifact III: Demonstrate Collaborate During the entire evaluation process, it allows us to connect with people involved in the implementation of the process. Working with the Human Resources team gave me a different level of insight and understanding of how communication is essential in the workplace and how a single word can effectively transform a project, including developing leadership skills to run the department.
